Connecting TikTok is quick — one popup, no page-picker, done.
One TikTok account per connection
Unlike Facebook (where a single login can manage many pages), each TikTok connection in ReplyZen represents one TikTok account. If you run multiple TikTok accounts, connect each one separately from the Connections page.
Connection procedure
- From the Connections section, click the Connect TikTok button.
- A TikTok authorization popup opens.
- Sign in to the TikTok business account you want to manage.
- Review and approve the permissions ReplyZen needs.
- The popup closes and your TikTok account appears in the connections list.
That's it — no page import step, no follow-up wizard. The account is ready to receive comments immediately.
Privacy note: ReplyZen will never post content without your explicit permission. You can disconnect your TikTok account from the Connections page at any time.
What gets connected
Once authorized, ReplyZen can:
- Read comments on your videos (organic and ads)
- Post AI-generated replies to those comments
- Hide and unhide comments
- Like high-quality comments (if auto-like is enabled)
- Read available video details, such as caption and duration, for AI context
What's different versus Meta
TikTok has some constraints that don't apply on Facebook and Instagram:
- Replies are capped at 150 characters (including emoji). The reply editor shows a live counter.
- Comments from other users can only be hidden, not deleted. This is a TikTok platform restriction — third-party tools can't delete someone else's comment.
- No direct messaging. DM automations are not available on TikTok.
- @mentions are stripped. If a reply includes a
@username, TikTok removes it before it's posted.
- Ads and organic are separated on a best-effort basis. TikTok doesn't expose one reliable ad flag, so some posts may remain unclassified or land in the wrong bucket.
For the complete side-by-side, see the platform comparison.
Troubleshooting
"The Connect TikTok button opens a popup that gets blocked"
Allow popups for ReplyZen in your browser settings and click the button again.
"I got an error and the popup closed"
Try the connection again from the Connections page. If it persists, check that you're signing in with a TikTok Business account (required for comment management) and that you approved all requested permissions.
"My TikTok account disconnected on its own"
ReplyZen will prompt you to reconnect. Click Reconnect on the connection card, or run Connect TikTok again from the Connections page, and re-authorize — it takes a few seconds and you won't lose any comment history.
